It had only been days since May had returned to earth. Things had felt, off since she first stepped foot on the planet. As she traveled across the continents, sprawled through the snow and flown over great peaks she felt the disturbance. There were pockets of power, aura she dared not to too touch. Rumors had rode on the wind to tell tale of games that had happened to threaten the world. May had already protected one planet, but earth was not the same. Even though it was not the harshest, it wasn't the most advanced of planets either, but something about it had wrought forth power. Growth had happened for the people of earth, she had yet to find them but there was strength on this planet she could not touch even with all her growth.
That was saying something to, as the number of people stronger than her seemed to be shrinking every day. Those who towered, those presences that lingered throughout were what terrified May. This planet could be destroyed so easily. so that begged the question, who was protecting it? How had there been such order, she knew of heaven and hells roles but that still didn't explain it. Sure no one liked losing a place to live, but why had more not happened? What have more threats not reared their ugly face? It didn't make much sense to May. She needed to find out, to continue her growth so as to be prepared when she was face to face with these threats. Maycair wasn't sure what she was, but she wanted to do the right thing. Responsibility wasn't her forte but every decision she made thrust her in the direction of it.
She tried to find peace with her thoughts as the sun at it's peak beatdown with a scorching smirk. A miasma of heat and sweat clung to her body still covered in a tracksuit. She found comfort in these clothes, in that lasy life but it was about time for her to change things up. The Saiyan clothes she had acquired weren't bad but they weren't exactly the best comfy wear. She'd figure out a new outfit later, that wasn't what she needed to be thinking of right now. It was after a few months, time for her to continue her meditation.
May sat upon her ship, which was now a roof to her cavern hideout atop a single rock spire. How things had changed so much. Now even with weights on she felt with a single flex of her increased power she could destroy mountains. It was strange to feel this strong. Still, in her dreams she was afraid, weak more than ever before. That feeling was hard to forget, it had plagued her all her life. How long would it cloud her thoughts? It was the one chain she couldn't break yet, it was embarrassing to her but what could she do? Killing her mom would help but only so much she was already in hell.
A sign would follow, not just from exhaustion but from frustration to clear her thoughts. She found so much power in the chaos in her heart. In all honesty, it was the noise and then energy that brought more focus to her than anything. Meditation always only beckoned so many different thoughts. Not just the inner monologue of the hybrid, but the thoughts beneath the thoughts. The whispers in the body of things she wished to hide. They were words and ideas the young woman to afraid to think. The things she aimed to avoid in the darkness of her own heart. Was it better to live in fear of oneself or in fear of the happiness that could be lost?
Maycair's growth, the happiness she was finding only brought more dread. She didn't wanna lose it all, but it was hard to find motivation for strength when she wasn't fueled by passion. The desire to lead was growing, but the flame was small. She was a star waiting to be ignited.
